Privacy policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026What data DeRechi collects, why, who can see it and how you control it. This policy follows the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”.1. Who processes the data
The controller of personal data is DeRechi. For anything about your data, write to derechi.support@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
When you post a notice:
- the item: title, description, category, date, photo and the reward, if you set one;
- the place: the name and coordinates of the point you picked or found by location;
- your contacts: phone number, email address and the messengers you ticked.
- your contacts: the phone number, email address and messengers you send to the notice's author.
- the order details Fourthwall sends us: the email and name you give Fourthwall, the amount, the currency, the status, the time and the order number, which we use to match the payment to your response.
3. What others can see
The item's description, the place with its coordinates and the photo are public. The phone and email on a notice are only partly shown (for example, +38067*****67); messengers aren't shown at all. An author's full phone number is sent only to someone who has responded to the notice and paid for it; an author's email is never sent to anyone.Contacts you send in response to a notice are shown only to that notice's author, in the message we send them, and are never published.
4. Why we use the data
- to show your notice to other people and let them find it by search;
- to pass your contacts to the author of the notice you responded to and, once you have paid, to send you the author's phone number;
- to match a payment to your response and keep a record of the payments we receive;
- to remind both sides to close the notice once the item is back;
- to protect the site from spam and abuse;
- [SIMILAR FINDS NOTIFICATIONS: TO BE DESCRIBED]
5. Location
On the found items page and in the notice form the site may ask for your location. You can refuse: everything works without it.For the nearby search, the coordinates are rounded to about 100 m and passed in the page address for that search only; we don't store them. In the notice form, the coordinates become the notice's place and are published with it.
6. Third-party services
- Google Maps Platform: the map, address suggestions and looking up an address from coordinates in the notice form; what you type into the place field, and the coordinates, are sent to Google;
- Vercel BotID: checks that the form is sent by a person, not a bot;
- Fourthwall: takes the payment; your card or wallet details are processed by Fourthwall and its payment providers, and we receive the payer's email, name, amount and order number to match the payment to your response;
- [EMAIL AND SMS PROVIDER, HOSTING: TO BE ADDED]
7. Cookies and browser storage
We use only what is necessary:
- the DERECHI_LOCALE cookie: remembers your language for a year;
- the DERECHI_COUNTRY cookie: remembers your country for a year, to show the right currency and legal texts;
- DERECHI_CLAIM_* cookies: remember for 30 days that you have responded to a notice, together with that response's number, so the site can show whether the payment has arrived;
- your browser's local storage: remembers which site tips you have already seen and the score of the mascot game; it holds no personal data.
8. How long we keep data
A notice is kept until it is taken down. After that it moves to an archive and is no longer shown on the site. It is kept in the archive for one year and then deleted together with the author's contacts.Contacts sent in response to a notice are kept for one year from the response, whether the notice is still published or archived; after that they are deleted. A notice with responses is closed when either side confirms that the item is back, or about a week after the last response.The details of a Fourthwall order (email, name, amount, order number) are kept as a record of the payment we received; when the response it was matched to is deleted, the link to it is removed, and the record stays without any connection to a notice.
9. Your rights
Under Article 8 of the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection” you have the right to:
- know what data of yours we process and get access to it;
- ask for inaccurate data to be corrected or deleted;
- withdraw your consent to processing;
- complain to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of the page.
